Summary
Ocean City leaders unanimously voted to move forward on a site for a new sports complex. If built, it could bring tournaments, visitors, and spending to town, but the site choice and public costs still matter. Why care? It could affect traffic, taxes, and nearby neighborhoods.

Impact analysis
Expect new tournament and visitor spending, but also public costs for land, construction, and upkeep that could hit taxpayers or pull money from other services.
Local hotels, restaurants, and retailers, plus sports groups and residents who’d use the facility, stand to gain.
Nearby residents could face traffic, noise, and parking headaches, and taxpayers may bear costs if revenue falls short.
